Our Goal
Provide a positive athletic experience for local youths and
families with an emphasis on building player skills in a safe
environment that fosters a sense of sportsmanship, teamwork and
a love for the game of soccer.
Our
Objectives
1.
Place the best interests of the players above winning.
2. Work
with coaches and parents to help build player confidence and
self esteem through soccer.
3.
Promote and encourage values of respect and
responsibility among players.
4. Provide
training opportunities for coaches to improve their ability to
develop the skills of their players while enhancing their
enjoyment of soccer.
5.
Promote and encourage volunteer activity among AYSL
parents.
6.
Ensure players and referees are treated in a respectful
manner.
7. Work in partnership with local business community in
support of AYSL.
8.
Promote youth soccer in the community for girls and boys
of all skill levels.
9. Recreational players with advanced skills and commitment
shall be provided an opportunity to participate in AYSL’s
competitive soccer program.
10. Development
of club teams shall rely on the advancement of players from AYSL’s recreational program to the fullest extent possible.
11. Management
of AYSL operations shall be carried out by a volunteer-based
Board of Directors in accordance with adopted policies and
procedures.
12.
AYSL
policy, as implemented by the Board of Directors, shall be
guided by the principle consideration of what is in the best
interest of the league’s players as a whole.
